A tech media outlet written from Africa, for the world.
Why NovoTech
African tech is often told from afar, in dollars and superlatives. We tell it up close: prices in CFA francs and naira, network outages, real salaries, the startups that close as well as those that raise money.
We also cover the rest of the world, because what is decided in California, Shenzhen or Brussels reaches us here. Always with the same question: what does it change for our readers?
The English edition
NovoTech is written in French first. The English edition publishes translations of our stories for readers in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa and beyond. Not every story is translated yet: the full archive remains available in French.
How we work
Every story cites its sources, with a link. Photos are real, under a free licence or provided by their authors, and always credited. When a piece of information comes from another outlet, we credit it and link to it. Errors are corrected, and the correction is flagged at the end of the story.
NovoTech is independent. It is funded by clearly labelled advertising and partnerships, never disguised as articles.
