Namibia’s cybersecurity incident response team (NAM-CSIRT), part of the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRAN), confirmed on 19 September unauthorised activity on the network of the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs.
Double extortion
Analysis of the systems links the attack to the RansomHouse group. Its method is well known: encrypt the victim’s systems, then threaten to publish the data it claims to have stolen. What is being done
